PROJECT ON FESTIVALS AND CELEBRATIONS

Stage 1

Introduction of the task. I tell my students about their freedom to choose a famous festival or celebration either in Spain or in another  part of the world. Once they have chosen it, they should look for specific information which is detailed in my presentation. They can work in pairs or individually.

Stage 2

After gathering the information, they should use a presentation tool: Genially, Canva, Powerpoint, Google Slides, Genially, etc. It can include photos and audios. The presentation should be sent to my email to check it before the presentation day.

Stage 3

After one week of work and investigation, they will have to give a speech / make an oral presentation about the project they have made. In case of pairwork, every student will have to talk about a part of the project.

Stage 4

Presentation and oral speech: students will introduce their presentation on the digital whiteboard in front of their classmates. Reading the presentation is forbidden.

Finally, every student will get two marks corresponding to written work and oral speech. Special attention will be paid to punctuation, word order, grammar, spelling as well as body language, pitch, rhythm and intonation.

Regarding the use of ICT tools to work on projects, my students already knew how to use several of them, so they didn´t have any problem.
