I liked the Edpuzzle
activity carried out by teacher Sandra Hernández about families. I´ve decided
to use the same tool to work on the passive voice with my 3rd year of CSE group.
Stage 1
I select a ready -made passive voice video. Then, I project the video in whole-class live mode. Students answer embedded questions.
Stage 2
Later, I pause strategically at
natural breaks to ask verbal questions: "Raise hands if this sentence is passive: 'The test was taken
by students'".
Stage 3
I ask students to write conversions on their notebooks.
After
the video ends, I will use a think-pair-share activity:
1. Think: Students write 2 passive sentences about
classroom objects ("The markers were placed here")
2. Pair: Exchange
sentences with a partner to identify the agent
3. Share: Volunteers
write examples on the board
Why this works:
- Zero Prep: Uses existing
videos with no editing time
- Formative Checks: verbal responses show understanding
Tip: We can bookmark 2 or 3 passive voice videos in our Edpuzzle account
for instant access during lessons.

Hello!
ResponderEliminarMy name is Mercedes, a teacher of English at the EOI and I’ve just had a look at your blog. I like the colourful and attractive design you have used for your blog. Apart from that, the entries are easy to read and understand. As a suggestion for improvement, I would recommend you can insert jump breaks in your entries. That way it is easier to navigate, especially when looking for a specific entry.
